Easy Doctor Doll Free Knitting Pattern

Free Pattern for a Doctor-themed Doll

I came across this easy knitted doctor doll pattern that is free to use. This would be perfect for a comfort doll to be knitted for charity projects. It is also ideal as a quick project to make as a present for young children.

The completed toy is around 8.5 inches tall (21cm)

This pattern has been designed by LT Marshall especially for less experienced knitters to make. It, therefore, is knitted flat on straight single-pointed needles (not circulars), and the stitch skills are the basic ones.

Which Yarn to Use?

The suggested yarn for this project is double knitting weight. Acrylic tends to be less expensive – something like this Paintbox Yarn Simply DK would be ideal.

If you have scraps of leftover DK yarn in a suitable colour, use those. The colours used are flesh coloured, white, grey, and shades of green for the scrubs.

What Size Needles Do You Need?

You’ll need a 3.25mm (US size 3) to get the best results. I like using the 25cm KnitPro Symfonie needles as I like the feel of the wood and the slightly shorter length especially when doing a small project like this one.

What Knitting Stitches Do You Need to Know?

This pattern uses only the most basic of knitting skills, such as increases, decreases and the knit and purl stitches. If you’re unclear about any part of the instructions, visit the Learn to Knit category on this website for help.
