I was pleased to find this round knitted face scrubbie pattern because although I do crochet, I much prefer to knit.
A couple of years ago my son’s partner encouraged me to be more eco-friendly with products and the items I use to clean off makeup.
Up to now, all my little face cleanser cloths have been made from crocheted circles or tiny knitted squares. They are good projects to use up small leftover bits of yarn.
I find the fabric you create when you knit them is not as thick as those from crochet.

If you use scrubby yarn which has more of a rough texture then the pattern can be used to make kitchen scrubbers.
For a facial cleanser though it is best to use 100% cotton yarn as it is softer and absorbent.

On her website, Bev has clear instructions and step-by-step images to show you how to make them up, once the knitting part is done.
When I am between knitting projects I like to go back to making these little items. They are quick and so useful to reduce my stash of cotton yarn. As my Dad grew cotton plants for many years while we were growing up, this fibre has many memories for me, and I love to knit with it.
