With Christmas time not too far off, I have been looking for some easy Christmas knitting patterns that beginners can do. Although they are well suited to new knitters, more intermediate and advanced knitters would also find them useful as they can be made up extremely quickly. Included below are 5 patterns that can be made especially for Christmas time. They will use up remnants of yarn that you have left over from previous projects. If you are looking to add something a bit more original to your festive decorations then these projects will do just that. Children and adults alike will just love looking at them as they are so different from what is available in the shops.
I have chosen these 5 knitting projects because they are a bit unusual. I love sheep so when I saw this lovely design with them kitted up in a Christmas theme, they were my first choice to add to this collection.
Chocolate oranges are popular small gift items that so many of us love to hand out at this time of year. To be able to knit a Christmas-themed cover and add that to them seems a good idea.
I love the little Gingerbread men too. They will make another little gift idea that young children will just love to hug. They could also be hung from a tree or used as decorations around the home too.
The tall thin Christmas tree will look good on a mantelpiece as part of a Christmas fireplace decoration or on a window sill.
Like the sheep, the cat decorations attracted me as they are not what you usually see as decorations. I love that they have their winter scarves tightly wound around their necks!
